Who was your first boyfriend/girlfriend?
Where was your first job?
Some questions about meeting their spouse?
How did you meet your husband/wife?
Who was first interested?
Where was your first date?
Who said I love you first?
When did you get married?
Where did you get married?
How many children did you have?
Can you tell me about their birth (if you feel like this an appropriate time to ask)
If they lived in the Great Depression you can ask them appropriate questions
What do you remember about the Great Depression?
What do you remember about living in the different wars (WWII, Vietnam, Cold War etc)

There can be several different questions to ask your loved. These are just the tip of the iceberg and are great conversation starters. As you prepare for the holidays remember to ask those questions and try to have a recorder going on. If you are zooming with family members it might be possible to do a recording there.
